Yash’s ‘KGF’ trailer is out: This Kannada’s biggest film is going to be like next ‘Baahubali’
Yash’s ‘KGF’ trailer is out
Kannada film KGF (Kolar Gold Fields), directed by Prashanth Neel, is the talk of the town. The trailer of the upcoming film was unveiled in a grand ceremony in Bengaluru and Chennai attended by many film personalities.
The trailer of the first part of KGF (planned as a two-part series) was released on YouTube in five languages, namely Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. Film buffs from across the country are going gaga about the trailer and its gritty content. It was the first of its kind movie marketing to happen in the Kannada film industry. After the trailer was screened on the big screen, it was clear why the producers needed a promotion of that scale.
KGF's trailer begins with a scene depicting the birth of Rocky (Yash). The film focusses on Rocky's difficult childhood in Mumbai and how he became a gangster. The sets are massive, the visuals are arresting, the lead cast (Yash, Srinidhi Shetty) is easy on the eyes, the background score is thrilling and the whole setup makes us want to watch the movie in its entirety immediately. Even in terms of the budget, KGF is touted to be the most expensive film in Kannada cinema ever. Some of the biggest names from neighboring film industries have joined hands with Hombale Films (KGF producers) to distribute the movie in non-Kannada speaking states.
